Celebrations

This past weekend was Easter and we had a very full weekend as you could tell by my previous post but I want to share with you the excitement that filled our day on Easter Sunday... Christ is Risen indeed. Our church celebrated the baptism of eight young people on Sunday, what an awesome way to celebrate Easter, remembering that we have new life in Christ because He sacrificed himself on the cross and rose again so that we all could have eternal relationship and life with God the Father. My niece Sara had three friends that were a part of the baptisms, taking the next step in their journey with Jesus. She made each of them a book of verses to encourage them in their walk, here are a couple of the verses that she used...

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Jesus answered, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
